Balance Hair Spa is currently looking for an Esthetician (Skin Therapist) to provide clients with a full range of skin care and professional skin care advice. This is a full-time position, working a minimum of 30 hours per week with possible guaranteed salary.

We are looking to grow our spa business with new clients (within a 6-8 mile radius) and existing salon clients. The ideal individual must be motivated, have strong business-building skills and bring marketing ideas.

We currently use the Dermalogica and GloTheraputics product lines.

responsibilities

- Performs skin care treatments and touch therapies, which includes light massage. Services include facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and all waxing services including Brazilians.

- Completes Dermalogica prescription sheets and recommends retail products for clients at home usage.

- Conducts Dermalogica face mapping consultations and provide guidance and skin care advice to customers.

- Maintains the treatment rooms in a neat professional manner including stocking products and linens, cleaning and instrument sterilization.

- Assists Balance Hair Spa in activities including staff meetings, promotions, clean-up and housekeeping duties.

- Performs washing and folding of all linens used in treatment rooms.

- Arrives fifteen (15) minutes prior to scheduled work time and may be required to stay fifteen (15) minutes later beyond work schedule if still with client.

- Conducts skin treatments and touch therapies as listed in the training manual.

- Maintains and increases knowledge of Dermalogica and GloTheraputics product lines, and skin/body treatments by attending new product and skin care promotions, in-house instruction, and education/training classes provided by the International Dermal Institute.

- Presents a professional, well groomed appearance; any uniforms must be laundered and pressed.

- Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner. Listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others. Keeping commitments. Keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues. Addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions. requirements

- must have current valid esthetician license

- must be trained in microdermabrasion, chemical peels and all waxing services including Brazilians
