L17231 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals will be received by GEORGE C. WALLACE COMMUNITY COLLEGE at the Office of the Dean of Business Affairs, Mr. Lynn Bell, Grimsley Hall, Dothan, AL for: Bid No 1418, Flooring Renovations, Computer Technology Center, Dothan Campus. Work consists of removing and replacing some 14,000 square feet of carpeting and vinyl tile during the holiday recess period. Sealed proposals will be accepted until December 1, 2009 and will be publically opened at 2:00 pm. Bid No 1419, Interior Painting, Computer Technology Center, Dothan Campus. Work consists of surface preparation and painting some 13,000 square feet of interior walls, plus door frames, trims, base boards, etc during the holiday recess period. Sealed proposals will be accepted until December 1, 2009 and will be publically opened at 2:45 pm. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to GEORGE C. WALLACE COMMUNITY COLLEGE in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000 must accompany the bidder's proposal if the bid exceeds $10,000. Evidence of insurance required in the bid documents must be furnished prior to award of the contract. The bid package may be examined at the Office of the Dean of Business Affairs, Mr. Lynn Bell, Grimsley Hall, Wallace Community College, Dothan, Alabama on or after November 9, 2009. Interested firms and individuals may obtain a single copy of bid documents outlining the scope of work and requirements from the Office of the Dean of Business Affairs, Wallace Community College, (334) 983-3521 ext 2288. Multiple copies for suppliers, subcontractors, etc will not be available. Bids must be submitted as described in the proposal package. The College reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors, in the College's sole judgment; the best interests of the College will thereby be promoted in accordance with the Code of Alabama 1975, Title 41, Chapter 16 Public Contracts and Title 39 Public Works.
